Code of Conduct

One simple policy: be nice and be respectful. It applies to everyone at our workshops, hackathons and community spaces, online and offline.

Be nice

  • Welcome beginners. Everyone started somewhere.
  • Help others and share what you know.
  • Give feedback that is constructive and kind.
  • Credit other people's work and ideas.

Be respectful

  • No harassment, bullying or discrimination of any kind.
  • Respect people's time, space and boundaries.
  • Take care of venues, equipment and organisers.
  • No plagiarism. Build your own project at the hackathon.

Where it applies

Workshops (online and offline), the hackathon, community chats and any event run by theprogrammers.

If something goes wrong

Talk to any organiser. Anyone who breaks the Code of Conduct may be asked to leave the event and removed from the community.
